Daniel Berio -
During BACK STAGE ON STAGE the walls of the exhibition space will slowly be enriched with a growing collection of computationally generated graffiti on paper. The graffiti will be produced by GRAFFITIZER, an installation by Daniel Berio. The GRAFFITIZER is a machine that generates algorithmic drawings that are inspired to Daniel Berio’s style when sketching graffiti letters. The machine draws the computer-generated forms with black ink on a sheet of paper mounted on the wall.
Having had years of experience
as a graffiti artist, Daniel Berio invented this system during his study at the Royal Academy of Art in an attempt
to convert his own style of drawing into a digital medium. Daniel Berio graduated from the ArtScience
department in 2013.
